Scandalous Sleepover....

Wish i could take credit for the 'scandalous' word in this title but i can't.  We were at Trader Joe's yesterday picking up a few things for our big evening and Lily shared with the cashier that we were having a sleepover tonight and it was with 'boys'!  He got a big smile on his face and comments, "Ooooo, scandalous"! :-)

Jenny and i had been secretly conspiring to have a sleepover with the kids and decided to surprise them yesterday when the big kids got off the bus.  Luke had already had the most amazing day of his life because he sold his quota of cookie dough for the Sunset Primary fundraiser and was able to ride in a limo and have Subway for lunch.  Way to go Luke!  So when Luke got off the bus, i asked him, "Do you think your day could get any better"?  His answer was, "No".  I then said, "Not even if we had a sleepover tonight"?  Yup....his day just got better!  Everyone was screaming with delight.  It is fun being the 'fun spontaneous Mommy' for once. :-)

So my future sons-in-laws and their cute little sister Natalie came over around 5 ish and i scooted Jenny out the door quickly because it would be no fun to have your Mom part of the sleepover....right?  We had cheese pizza for dinner, ice cream for desert and ended the evening with Brother Bear 2 and a little kettle corn.  Oh, and one snippet of Scooby Doo.  We started out with a werewolf one but Peter said he might have nightmares and Lily's response was, "Just close your eyes then".  Such sympathy for her future husband...love it! :-)  We switched it out and Natalie cheered at the end.....I LOVE Scooby Doo!
We headed up the stairs, everyone pottied, brushed their teeth and then they were off to their separate rooms.  Yes, even though they are little, we still don't sleep with boys until you are married. :-)
Everyone was in bed by 8:47 pm and it was quiet.....i mean quiet, as something was wrong quiet.  But not a peep out of anyone all night and the first one was not up until close to 6:30 am.  I call that a successful sleepover....don't you?

We finished our sleepover with waffles and a little whip on top....yes, my girls thought someone had kidnapped their Mom and brought them a new one, eggs, fruit and orange juice.  And you feel pretty good when a 6 year old, who is not your child, tells you that you rock.
Love, LOVE, LoVe, these Stewart kids!  They can come over any time!

They are finally here!   Pillow-pets in tow....they are set!

Papa Murphy's cheese pizza....who doesn't love that?

Had a little ice cream with our whip and sprinkles of course. :-)

Natalie with her gift from Lily.
She did not take this off all night.
She would've slept with it i had let her.

Oh my...the kissing fest has begun and Peter has
to start the fight of his life.

Okay...it's not too bad.

He totally caves and starts smooching her back.
It's funny when she's initiating it but not when it's
reciprocated....okay, well, it's a little funny. :-)

Our big first graders!

BFF's!

It was a great night!
